What to include

Printer problems are hard to diagnose from a sentence. If you are writing about something the test sheet showed, the three things that make an answer possible are the printer make and model, which test you printed and on which paper size, and what the sheet actually looked like — which block was wrong and in what way. A photograph of the printed sheet is worth more than any description.

Corrections

Menu paths move between firmware versions and vary across a manufacturer’s range. If a step on a brand page is wrong for your model, tell us what the menu says instead and the page gets updated. The same goes for a fault that is not covered: if your printer produced something the sheets cannot explain, that is a gap worth closing.

Embedding the tool

The test sheets can be embedded on another site free of charge, with no attribution requirement beyond the link the widget already carries. The snippet and the sizing notes are on the embed page; write in if you need a size or a default test that the snippet does not offer.

What we cannot do

We are not the manufacturer and have no access to your printer, your account or your warranty. We cannot process returns, look up serial numbers or authorise repairs. For anything involving a warranty claim, the manufacturer’s own support line is the right route, and a printed test sheet is a useful thing to have in hand when you call.
