About Printer Test Page

Printer Test Page prints test pages. There are 9 of them — a full page, colour, black and white, CMYK, grayscale, a nozzle check, an alignment page, a text sharpness page and a laser sheet — each laid out for Letter and for A4, each available as a PDF, and each free with no sign-up.

Why it exists

Most free test pages on the web hand you a sheet and stop there. That is half an answer: knowing that your print has streaks is not the same as knowing whether to run a cleaning cycle, order a drum, or change a setting you did not know was on. Every pattern here is paired with what its failure means — 12 documented faults, each with its causes ordered cheapest-fix-first, because the expensive part of a printer problem is usually the parts bought before anyone established what was wrong.

How the sheets are made

The patterns are defined once, in millimetres, and rendered three ways from that one definition: on screen, on paper, and in the PDF. They cannot drift apart, which matters when a sheet is being used as a measuring instrument. Each sheet carries a 100 mm ruler for exactly that reason — if the printed ruler measures 100 mm, the print dialog did not scale the page and every other measurement on the sheet can be trusted.

Blocks also have a minimum useful height. A nozzle grid squeezed into 10 mm cannot show a gap, so the layout refuses to shrink it past the point where it stops being diagnostic, and tells you it needs a second sheet instead of printing something that looks fine and says nothing.

Privacy

Nothing you do here leaves your browser. There is no upload, no account, no print history, and no record of which test you chose — the sheets are static files and the printing happens entirely inside your own browser and printer driver. The site uses privacy-respecting analytics to count page views in aggregate, which is described in full on the privacy page.

Corrections
